Privacy Policy
This policy explains how LiveMath handles account information, local financial records, optional backups, and user-selected import features in plain language.
What LiveMath Is
LiveMath is a personal finance app that helps you organize accounts, expenses, income, cards, loans, assets, insurance, rewards, goals, and financial notes.
We aim to keep your financial records under your control. Where local-first storage is enabled, your financial records are stored on your own device by default.
Information We Collect
Depending on how you use LiveMath, we may collect account information such as your email address, sign-in identifiers, subscription or purchase status, support messages, and basic technical information needed to run, secure, and troubleshoot the app.
Financial records you choose to enter or import may include account names, balances, expenses, income, cards, loans, assets, insurance, rewards, goals, reminders, documents, notes, and similar personal finance information.
We may also collect limited usage, device, diagnostic, crash, and security information to keep LiveMath working, understand reliability issues, protect accounts, and improve the app.
How We Use Information
LiveMath uses account sign-in to identify you and support account-related services, including subscriptions, trials, purchases, restoring access, security checks, customer support, and related app operations.
Your sign-in account is separate from the financial records you choose to keep in LiveMath. Signing in does not mean LiveMath automatically browses or imports your personal files, emails, bank accounts, or cloud storage.
We use information to provide LiveMath, save and restore your data when you choose backup features, process purchases, respond to support requests, improve reliability, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.
Local-First Financial Records
When local-first storage is enabled, records you create in LiveMath are stored locally on your device by default. This can include accounts, transactions, notes, budgets, goals, reminders, rewards, and other financial organization data you enter or import.
Local browser or device storage can be cleared by your browser, operating system, device settings, storage cleanup tools, app reinstall actions, or by you. Because local data can be lost, you should keep your own backups, especially before clearing browser data, changing devices, or reinstalling the app.
Optional Backups And Google Drive
LiveMath may let you export encrypted backups or connect Google Drive so you can save and restore a private LiveMath backup file in your own Google Drive account.
If you enable Google Drive backup, LiveMath uses Google Drive only to save and restore your private LiveMath backup file, preferably in Google Drive app-data storage. LiveMath does not browse your Google Drive, read unrelated Drive files, or use Drive access for advertising.
LiveMath requests only the Google permissions needed for the backup feature you choose. Information received from Google APIs is used for user-facing LiveMath backup and restore features and is handled in line with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
You can disable optional backup features or remove stored backup files through LiveMath, Google Drive, or your account settings where those controls are available.
Cloud Storage And Older Features
Some cloud storage may exist for older users, legacy app versions, or features you explicitly enable, such as backup or sync. If a cloud feature is available, LiveMath uses it to provide the feature you chose and related support, security, and reliability functions.
We do not sell your financial records. We use service providers only as needed to operate LiveMath, process payments, provide sign-in, support optional features, improve reliability, or comply with law.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal information or financial records. We do not use Google Drive data or your financial records for advertising.
We may share information with service providers that help us operate LiveMath, such as authentication, hosting, analytics, payment, app store, support, backup, security, or AI/import providers. We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect LiveMath and users, or as part of a business transfer, subject to appropriate safeguards.
AI And Import Features
LiveMath may offer AI or import features that help parse user-provided documents, images, statements, receipts, text, or notes. These features process only the content you choose to provide to that feature.
Imported or AI-assisted results can be imperfect. You should review them before relying on them in your records.
Retention And Security
Local-first financial records remain on your device unless you choose to export, back up, sync, import, or otherwise send them through a LiveMath feature. Cloud account, subscription, support, diagnostic, and backup-related information may be kept for as long as needed to provide the service, meet legal or accounting requirements, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and maintain security.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information. No app, device, browser, backup method, or internet service can guarantee perfect security, so keeping your device, browser, account, and backups secure is important.
Your Choices
You can choose what information to enter, whether to use optional backups, whether to connect third-party services, and whether to export or delete local records where the app provides those controls.
You may request help accessing, correcting, exporting, or deleting account-related information by contacting us. Some data may remain where we need it for security, legal, accounting, backup integrity, dispute resolution, or service-operation reasons.
For privacy questions, deletion requests, or concerns, contact us at info@livemath.net.
Children
LiveMath is not intended for children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to LiveMath, contact us so we can review and take appropriate action.
Changes To This Policy
We may update this policy as LiveMath changes. If we make material changes, we will try to provide reasonable notice through the app, website, or account-related communications.
